Tequila Lime Chicken Wings

Take a classic American appetizer of chicken wings and give them a little Mexican flair with this marinade. Tequila Lime chicken wings make a great main dish for any summer barbecue.

Tequila Lime Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Fresh Chicken Wings
  • 2/3 cups Tequila
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice
  • 1 tbsp Garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  • In a large bowl combine tequila, honey, lime juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken wings and stir to coat.
  • Cover bowl and place in the refrigerator for 4 hours to marinate.
  • Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack on top.
  • Remove wings from the marinade and place on the cooling rack.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, flip and bake another 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and place on preheated gas or charcoal grill and cook until internal temperature reaches 165°.
  • You can also finish baking in the oven if you don't have a grill. Just make sure you bake until they reach 165°.
