Simple Breakfast Gravy

This gravy is the perfect topper for the Easy Buttermilk Biscuits. Add some eggs and bacon on the side and you have a perfect Sunday morning breakfast.

I like to cook my bacon in the oven as it doesn’t seem to shrink as much as when pan frying. You can pan fry if you like and just add the flour to the pan after taking the bacon out.

Simple Breakfast Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Bacon Grease
  • 2-3 cups Whole Milk
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook your bacon and save 1/4 cup of the grease.
  • Whisk in 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour. Let cook for a few minutes while continuing to whisk. The longer you cook it the darker it will be.
  • Pour in the milk one cup at a time while continuously whisking, until you get to the desired consistency. Serve immediately over your biscuits.
