Making mayonnaise from scratch is easy and delicious. All you need is a large mouth mason jar, Immersion blender, and 5 simple ingredients you most likely have in your kitchen already. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.



Simple Homemade Mayo
Equipment
- 1 Wide mouth Mason jar with lid
- 1 Immersion Blender
Ingredients
- 1 cup Light Tasting Olive Oil
- 1 large Egg
- 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Add the egg to the bottom of the mason jar and then add the rest of the ingredients.
- Place the immersion blender over the yolk of the egg and turn on high. After a few seconds you can move the blender up and down to create the emulsion.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Will last one week covered in the fridge.
