In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Add the diced butter and mix in with your hands until crumbly.
Stir in the milk until a soft dough forms. It will be shaggy and a little sticky.
Place the dough onto a well floured board. Add small amount of flour to top of dough to prevent sticking to the rolling pin.
Roll out to 3/4" thickness. Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut into circles.
Place on a baking sheet with the sides of the biscuits touching each other.
Bake in a preheated 425° degree oven for 10-12 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
